I don’t believe either side would put dye in those waters. It is too awesome. When they dye the Chicago river, it is just a different shade of green and dissapates into the water. It’s all fun and games until you meet my Irish temper shirt I believe it is color lights that show the Falls in different colors each night. I believe I read that somewhere!

I have been to the falls several times and still haven’t been on the maid of the mist but the cave of winds is pretty cool. Both sides of the falls are awesome and a must see! there’s loads of good pubs in Dublin, especially in Templebar, a big tourist area here in the city centre. I would suggest a pub called “The Porterhouse” which has its own brewery, and isn’t too over priced. All pubs will be very busy, though and there will be some bit of craic to be had. Always view it from the Canadian side though, that is where the spectacular view is.

I agree with Diane Brown. The Canadian side is the best and has the best views! Sadly there’s not much on the American side anymore. The park on the American side where you can walk across the Three Sisters Islands is nice though. I love about 4.5 hours from there and go every couple years. Probably not, but I’m a sucker for nice scenery. I’ve ticked a couple places off my bucket list, namely the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Empire State Building in New York, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon and of course the Cliffs of Moher, here in Ireland. Loved every minute of it. I lived there my whole life I moved to Arizona to years ago. But the Canadian side is even more beautiful if you ever get there which I hope you do.
