I am glad that she made the choice to stay up there and no one forced her to stay up there and no one forced her to get down either. Each time then becomes easier. It’s certainly a process when one is so shy but sounds like she has wonderful family support. Im glad you commented. My heart was breaking for her but I did assume she was up there because she wanted to be. I completely get what you are saying about your niece. My son is very outgoing while with family. He is our loudest. However, in pre-school and elementary school, especially in front of people he was very, very shy. He was diagnosed with selective mutism. Not saying your niece has this however the Selective Mutism Center in Jenkintown PA diagnosed and helped my son. My son Matthew is in 9th grade and will tell you himself that he is cured. Lol… just want to mention this.
