Schools just don’t understand…even children without “disabilities” will not be able to follow or understand the curriculum made by the state the kids are suppose to follow…as teachers they should find common ground with every student they come across and less kids would drop out& less parents will feel pressured into feeling like drugging their child is the only way they can learn Logistically? I teach 130 kids everyday. How am I supposed to create 130 lesson plans everyday? So many people are against medicine, but never get to see the true benefits of a correct dosage.

I have kids who go from total hell to teach, who distract my whole class, and prevent their learning, to a child who is thriving and learning and not a disruption. Medication is not necessary for every kid with ADD, but please don’t automatically assume it is a cop out. It is life-changing to many kids. I know. But until you have taught 130 middle-schoolers everyday, please don’t tell us how to do our jobs. We get training, we get accommodation plans.
