it is very much STILL his story. The treatments for the scripts (right down to the ending) were ALL based on information that George R.R. Martin himself gave to the creators of the show. Nobody else knows the details but them. I didn’t dislike the episodes but a good portion of episode 1 and 2 were fan service and served no real purpose.. dragging out the whole dragon ride scene which was to long. We know he has a good relationship with the dragons and Dragon winterfell shirt they could have got that over with quicker. They were great to see but very long winded. I didn’t want it to rush to the action but we’ve had 7 seasons of character building, get on with it.

have said it better myself bruh, seeing the characters interact that way, sum for the first time even, was absolutely incredible to see. Definitely the calm before the storm, cuz the next episode is gonna be seriously fukkin intense an probably heartbreaking all at the same time the world has changed a lot since the books were started and I think we see a reflection of that change in how the GOT series creators feel they need to pander to the audience, rather than stay true to their own creation  The by product of their closeness after what Ramsey did is kind of beautiful. They’re more like siblings than ever and I like the direction with him. He’ll never be what he was, but this isn’t exactly Reek. He’s healing as a person and it shows.
