’m a retired teacher and I’ve seen miraculous things come from kiddos that someone didn’t give up on. I once taught a student that others said wouldn’t learn. Don’t ask us we are just the knockers shirt The semester I taught he made great gains. Sad to say, I saw him at the beginning of the next school term and he had lost many of those skills. No one worked with him or practiced at home. He was again saying he couldn’t read. Broke my heart.
Don’t ask us we are just the knockers shirt
We live in such a harsh world and as a college professor, I really strive to encourage all students to reach beyond their potential or their parents expectations. Yes- I realize that. I believe because I’m an adjunct and vested to keep my classes. Full time faculty risk losing benefits if they “go outside” the box and encourage students in my opinion. I see it all the time What an important and inspirational message, Don’t ask us we are just the knockers shirt delivered by someone who has overcome the odds and found a way to the other side of all that judgement, who persevered and is sharing his message to guide others in need of this wisdom. Bravo! You’re making a difference in the lives of so many people with this message.

My amazing dad was dyslexic. He was called Cabbage Head in school by other kids. His own dad wouldn’t let him do homework. Dad didn’t give up! He was mostly self-taught and would read books while listening to the audio to help him along. He got a diesel mechanic certificate because he was very good with his hands. He could do anything! A lot of talent and one of the wisest men I ever knew. got my heart a little so I peeked at your profile. I mention this only because my Dad passed away January 2017. My father had learning disabilities and was also able to do anything with his hands….. he could also drive anything you put him in like he had been doing it all his life. I’m so sorry your Dad is gone, how wonderful to have been loved so well and remembered so fondly, your Dad must have been a great guy.
