I would agree if you are not familiar with energy vampires this would seem vague. Not all people experience people or energy in the same way or at least they don’t realize how it affects them. Cry me a river drown in it bitch shirt This is geared towards those who do. Also he is definitely not talking about keeping to your own or people experiencing a place of privilege not to engage with those who do. This is the type of not inherently energy vampires.

We are all “energy vampires”. Some people draw more energy from you than others. Some people you want to draw that energy from you. Some you do not. You cannot live unless you are getting energy from others. It really comes down to deciding who you will spend your time and attention on. Humans are herd animals. They have to have the herd to survive. Individuals do not last long completely solitary. Some people will always be negative, no matter what you do, and no amount of time will change them because they wont change themselves. Cry me a river drown in it bitch shirt Those are the people hes talking about. Drop them, so that you can focus on your own energy and healing and importance. But I’m pretty sure that a vampire to me may not be a vampire to you. And maybe you won’t even realize they’re a vampire until later on. We have different levels of patience and understandings and that’s where self awareness comes into play. I think this video could’ve emphasized it a little more. Well anyways, I think to put it in simpler terms.. he talks about people you’d look forward to seeing again vs. people you don’t really want to see.. ever. He doesn’t say avoid them, he just says take them with a grain of salt if you interact with them so you won’t leave in a bad mood. It may sound selfish, but you gotta take care of yourself first before you can go out and help others.
