My last dog was a mutt I found at the animal shelter in San Antonio. (The largest no-kill shelter in Texas) He lived 17 glorious, life-loving years. He had hip dysplasia. He had cataracts. He had kidney issues. So shall we crucify the people who bred that dog? Do you want to see a video of him so that you can carry on your rant about Bulldog i run on caffeine dog hair and cuss words shirt what a travesty it is that dogs have health issues? Should I have put him down as a puppy due to his health issues? Fucking get over yourself. Get your own dog, raise it, and you can fawn over all the health issues you want. I promise you, not everyone you meet will like you, your dog, or how to you raised and treated it.

My retarded view is actually that dog breeders should be focusing on improving the health of a breed, not breeding bulldogs with shorter snouts that are likely to have health problems. Your point about humans makes no sense as humans fall in love and they choose their partners themself.. Dogs on the other hand will mate with anything you put in front of them. it’s not love that motivates their breeding. the photo above proves nothing. Bulldog i run on caffeine dog hair and cuss words shirt My Sadie (A bulldog) looked similar to the photo on the left when younger. At 14 years old (a nice long life for a Bulldog), she has some weight gain and looks much more like the dog in the right. I know that it is a fact that breeders have caused SOME changes over the course of time, BUT, my bulldog has NO problems other than age-related issues. She breathes fine and was always very active she younger. In fact- no one could catch her if she got out the door without a leash. We had to go after her in the car many times (the only thing she loves more than running is riding in the car so she would jump in if we got close and opened the door. she doesn’t run as fast now- but she is FOURTEEN!
